OS X CD mastering/burning software

Hello all I am wondering what you use and reccomend for burning audio CDs in OS X. Is there anything out there that does Red Book CDs? I'd get Toast 6 but to get even basic audio mastering ability I'd have to spend $200 to have Jam included in the bundle. This is nuts especially because Toast is crammed with a bunch of bells and whistles that I'm never going to use. Mostly all I'd like to do is to adjust the levels in my audio tracks before I burn a CD. Any advice? The Bias web site vaguely suggests that you can burn CDs from Peak. Is this true? mastering and burnign are two different processes, and you won't find anything that does both. For burning redbook, Toast and Jam are the way to go IMHO.

Yes, you can burn CD's with Peak. The old version (3) had to use Toast to accomplish it. The new version (4) uses OSX's abilities, though it still does come with Toast Lite. For two track editing, I think Peak is great. I don't use it for mastering, but if you've got some good VST plugins, you could probably do some damage (good or bad!) with it, as mastering really should be left to the pros (and usually some fine hardware) IMHO.

If all you want to do is adjust levels.....take all of your tunes and create a new session. Throw all your tunes in that session, adjust levels and BTD. Then burn a C.D. in iTunes.
