Sadie Systems had a plug-in called "Retouch" that was pretty much Photoshop for audio. The GUI looked very much like Elevayta Extra Boy Pro, which I have never used, but I'm guessing they worked in a similar way. Instead of a traditional wave form, what you see is a color-coded graphic representation of frequency amplitude. You can then go in and remove whatever you need gone without affecting the bits you need to remain. In that it worked with small increments of the program material, this could be pretty time consuming. Prism Audio acquired Sadie & I believe its available in their systems. Celemony is about to come out with a program called "Direct Note Access". You can go here to check it out: . If you're trying to do a remix of a song, you can also try calling the label or artist & asking them for a copy of the track in question, although this is clearly a much longer shot. Ultimately, its in their best interest to have the song working for them, so offer them right of first refusal & maybe they'll play nice. Good luck.
