also, your only limited to AUDIO tracks, instrument and aux tracks do not count twards that number. I totally agree with your points though. no ADC? This should happen behind the scenes automatically without even asking the program to do it. some plugs, especially limiters and compressors have a very noticable delay.

You are ABSOLUTELY and TOTALLY right. I'd add lack of Time Code Timeline without paying $$ and no way to import/export AAF (which is a free Open Standard). But in the meantime I've bought 6 (six!) LE/MP systems and sold my "other" DAW while still sending rude & impolite msgs to the DUC (I've been banned 4 or 5 times :-) Give yourself some time to get used to it (I mean PT), it will pay back twice (wow! I refrained myself from being harsh about Digi Marketing Department :-)
So what do you know... Digi announced PT8, and it looks like it addresses two of my concerns! (#1 and #3 in my list). Now... if only they got #6, they'd totally get my upgrade money (although with #3 solved, using the Mellowmuse plugin should not hurt that much... but it's still kind of a workflow drag... :confused:) Please, Digi... automatic delay compensation! :-)
